Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra; the price you pay is the same.

We are not yet enrolled in the Amazon Associates program. Until we are, links to Amazon on this site are plain search or product links and earn us nothing. When that changes, this page and the disclosure on every article will say so, in the wording Amazon requires.

How you can tell

• Every article that contains product links shows a disclosure box near the top, before the first link.
• Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored" in the page code, as the FTC and Google ask.
• Product links are labelled plainly, usually "Check price on Amazon", and open the retailer in a new tab.

What it does not change

Products are chosen because they fit the constraint in the question (a torso length, a vehicle, an age band, a budget), not because of what they pay. Where the honest answer is "none of these are great", the article says so. We do not accept payment for placement, and we do not accept free product in exchange for coverage. If either ever changes, the article involved will say so at the top.

Our basis for recommendations

Each article states what it is based on. Unless it explicitly says otherwise, that is manufacturer specs, fit notes and aggregated user reports, not hands-on testing by us. We think that is more useful than pretending.
